Lahore, Karachi likely to host seven Pakistan vs England T20Is: Report
England's rescheduled tour of Pakistan will be played from mid September onwards ahead of the 2022 T20 World Cup
England's rescheduled tour of Pakistan will consist seven T20Is to be played between September 15 and October 2 at Lahore and Karachi, according to a report by ESPNCricinfo. Multan and Rawalpindi are the other options being considered.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja told the website that the schedule for the matches is "very tight and we can't go elsewhere". England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) three-member security team is expected to arrive later this month to take a look at the arrangements.
England's women's and men's teams were originally scheduled to play in Rawalpindi in October, 2021 but abandoned the tour sighting the security concerns after New Zealand left the country few hours before their limited-overs series began.
England have not toured Pakistan since 2005 and might not have their top players available for the series as their Test series against South Africa will end on September 12. Pakistan also have a T20I tri-series against New Zealand and Bangladesh in Christchurch from October 7-14 ahead of the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.
Previously, England and Pakistan have played a bilateral series in Asia in 2012 and 2014 with UAE as the host.
