England named an unchanged XI for the second Test against New Zealand at Trent Bridge beginning on Friday. Left-arm spinner Jack Leach returned to the starting XI after being taken off the first Test at Lord's after suffering with concussion symptoms.
On the first day of the first Test, Leach injured himself while trying to stop a boundary and suffered a head injury. Lancashire leg spinner Matt Parkinson was called in as the concussion substitute for the match.
Parkinson claimed his first Test wicket as he dismissed Tim Southee as the final wicket of New Zealand's second innings.
England lead the three-match series by 1-0 after former captain Joe Root slammed an unbeaten 115 to take them to a thrilling five-wicket victory. The match marked a successful return for veteran pace duo Stuart Broad and James Anderson who accounted for a total of 10 wickets across both innings.
An unchanged XI for the hosts means young Yorkshire batter Harry Brook will have to wait for his Test debut.
England XI for second Test: Zak Crawley, Alex Lees, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes (C), Ben Foakes (WK), Matthew Potts, Jack Leach, Stuart Broad, James Anderson
