Scoring 160 runs in an ODI game is an impressive feat, while scoring 160 in a T20 can be considered an outrageous achievement. Well, what about hitting 160* in a 15-over contest?
New Zealand’s Martin Guptill did just that in the Legend 90 clash between Chhattisgarh Warriors and Big Boys today, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
After scoring 16 and 27 respectively in his first two hits in the Legend 90, Guptill cashed-in big time today as he hammered as many as SIXTEEN SIXES to help Chhattisgarh Warriors post an eye-popping 240/0 in their 90-ball allocation.

He was well supported at the other end by his opening partner Rishi Dhawan, who finished with an unbeaten 76 off 42 balls.
It was only last month that Guptill announced his international retirement, but this was a knock where he showed he’s still got it - clearly proving to be a cut above the rest in the entire competition.
After bringing up his fifty of 19 balls, in the ninth over, the right-hander hit ‘god mode’ after the halfway point of the innings.

First, Guptill hit Sri Lanka’s Asela Gunaratne for a hat-trick of sixes in the 11th over. He then went 6 6 4 6 1 against medium pacer Ishan Malhotra to go from 88 off 32 balls to 117 off 38 in the span of six balls.
But Guptill did not stop there as he went 6 4 1 6 4 in the next over, this one being bowled by former Punjab Kings leg-spinner Karanveer Singh. Dhawan briefly took over hitting responsibilities before Guptill went 6 4 6 1 in the final over of the innings bowled by Gunaratne to finish with 160* off 49 balls.
Guptill is someone always known for scoring big. He has three scores over 180 in ODI cricket and his 237* against West Indies in 2015 is, to date, the highest ever score posted by any batter in a World Cup game.
Guptill’s team Chhattisgarh Warriors are unbeaten so far in the Legend 90.
