LSG Set For Shock Trade To Get MI All-Rounder Ahead of IPL 2026

Ahead of IPL 2026, reports suggest that LSG are interested in roping Arjun Tendulkar into their setup

Arjun Tendulkar has been with the Mumbai Indians (MI) throughout his playing career, but that could change ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. According to Cricbuzz’s reports, Sanjiv Goenka’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are eyeing a shocking trade for the 26-year-old Tendulkar in a bid to strengthen their resources.

The news comes after LSG have made space on their roster, reportedly sending Shardul Thakur the other way to MI for his base price of INR 2 crore. Tendulkar hasn’t played for any franchise since making his jump at the IPL level. Across five appearances at IPL, the left-arm pacer has scalped three wickets, averaging 38.00 with the ball.

While he’s rarely got an opportunity to make amends with the bat, the younger Tendulkar has a high score of 13, with a strike rate of 144.44. The 26-year-old has been in good form at the Ranji Trophy 2025, where he has picked up a wicket in every innings that he has bowled.

In the clash against Karnataka, Tendulkar ended with figures of 3/100, where he dismissed Nikin Jose, Krishnan Shrijith and Abhinav Manohar. Not to forget that the left-hander also showed his batting prowess in the same clash with a well-constructed 46.

With LSG’s Indian depth tested last year, the addition of Tendulkar could deepen their resources.
