Lucknow’s home match against Chennai preponed to May 3

The fixture has been revised owing to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation election

Lucknow Super Giants’ home fixture against four-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions, Chennai Super Kings has been preponed to May 3 (Wednesday) from May 4 (Thursday) due to the Municipal Corporation election in Lucknow.

“The TATA Indian Premier League match 46 between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings, originally scheduled for Thursday 4th May 2023 in Lucknow, has now been rescheduled for Wednesday 3rd May 2023,” said the IPL statement.

The game will be part of the doubleheader on Wednesday, beginning at 3.30 PM IST. For Lucknow, it essentially means they will play at home on May 1 against Royal Challengers Bangalore before the clash on May 3. Chennai, on the other hand, would have played their clash on April 30, against Punjab Kings at home.

“The fixture has been revised owing to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation election on 4th May. There has been no change in match timings and the game will begin at 3:30 PM IST.”
