The likes of Kagiso Rabada, Quinton de Kock, Marco Jansen, and Aiden Markram will be featuring in the ODI series against Bangladesh despite the series finishing just three days before the scheduled start of the Indian Premier League. However, pacer Sisanda Magala and Anrich Nortje will not be a part of the series owing to fitness concerns.
The series, which will kick start on March 18 and will finish on March 23, will also be a huge problem for many IPL teams considering the Cricket South Africa haven't released a formal framework for their players' participation in the tournament. Recently, Test skipper Dean Elgar stated that the players shouldn't choose the league over the national duty, calling it a test of players' loyalty. Earlier, it was supposed that CSA would allow the players to choose their preferences.
Currently, eight South African players have IPL contracts and if their arrival is delayed because of the international series, it will be a huge concern for the franchises knowing Cricket Australia have already barred the participation of contracted Australian players till April 6.
