Marizanne Kapp will finally make her much-awaited return in South Africa’s setup for the upcoming tour of the West Indies, which starts on June 11 (Wednesday). The 35-year-old all-rounder will be making her first international appearance in six months, after she last played against England.

Since then, the all-rounder was rested for the tri-series against India and Sri Lanka, where South Africa ended up third. Alongside her, Tumi Sekhukhune and Ayanda Hlubi have also been recalled for the West Indies series.
Nonkululeko Mlaba, offspinner Nondumiso Shangase, seasoned allrounders Chloe Tryon and Sune Luus, and 20-year-old allrounder Miane Smit will form the spin bowling unit for the series. However, there’s no place for Seshnie Naidu, who debuted in the tri-series earlier this year.
The six-match white-ball series will begin on June 11, with three ODIs before moving to the shortest format. South Africa’s coach Mandla Mashimbyi wasn’t too triggered despite the tri-series loss.
“Sri Lanka was tough, but we took a lot of positives out of that, and whatever gaps we've picked up, we want to make sure that we brush up on them," he said in a statement.
"I'm looking forward to that, and the players have been working to make sure that they prepare well for the Caribbean tour. It's an exciting white-ball tour ahead in the West Indies, and a fantastic opportunity for the players to continue testing their skills. The more cricket we play, the more we learn about our combinations and individual growth as a team."
