Meanwhile, Akhil Herwadkar, the former left-handed opener, after finding himself out of the squad, has decided to leave Mumbai, and even though he didn't announce the new team, it is speculated that he might join Puducherry.

Salil Ankola (chairman), Ghulam Parkar, Sunil More, Anand Yalvigi, and Prasad Desai sat down on Monday to pick the squad and they decided to pick a full-strength squad even though most players on the national squad might not feature in a single game at all. MCA is awaiting for Maharashtra government to provide the SOPs for starting sports activities in the city following which they will announce a date for the camp.
