Melie Kerr tests positive for Covid-19

Kerr is the only player from the tour party to test positive, while the rest of the group will continue to be monitored and tested

New Zealand all-rounder Melie Kerr has been put in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19 on Saturday (UKT). Kerr produced a positive Rapid Antigen Test and will undergo a period of hotel isolation before re-joining the team.

Kerr is the only player from the tour party to test positive, while the rest of the group will continue to be monitored and tested, as required. The New Zealand women have another week of training at Millfield School, including two practice matches against England A, before transferring to Birmingham for the 2022 Commonwealth Games at the end of July.

New Zealand Women have been placedin Group B for the Commonwealth Games alongside South Africa, England, and Sri Lanka. They will play their opening encounter against South Africa on July 30 at Edgbaston.
