Bangladesh’s pace-bowling all-rounder, Mohmmad Saifuddin, who was ruled out of the ongoing T20 World Cup due to back injury won’t be available for Bangladesh’s home series against Pakistan. Rubel Hossain replaced the all-rounder in the squad for the T20 World cup.
The all-rounder picked up 17 wickets and scored 88 runs in 2021, his best year in T20I cricket. Bangladesh Cricket Board’s chief physician Debasish Chowdhury confirmed to Cricbuzz that the all-rounder, who has stress injury won’t recover before the start of the series against Pakistan.
"He (Saifuddin) has a stress injury. After a month's rest he will start his rehabilitation program,” Debasish told Cricbuzz.
Following the completion of the T20 World Cup, the Tigers are set to welcome Pakistan in a series consisting of three T20Is and two Tests. The series will kick-off at the Sher-e-Bangla National stadium in Dhaka on November 19, with the two Tests being part of the World Test Championship cycle.
