On the back of a record-breaking series, where he picked up 23 wickets at an average of 32.43, Mohammed Siraj has made a massive move in the ICC Test Rankings on August 6 (Wednesday).
The Indian pacer, who found himself in the 27th spot, has made a massive jump to the 15th place with a career-best rating of 674. In Jasprit Bumrah’s absence, Siraj was instrumental in India levelling the series 2-2, with figures of 9/190 in the final Test at The Oval.
Alongside Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, who had an eventful series in England, also rose up 25 spots to be placed at 59th, with 368 rating points. Although he was expensive, Krishna ended the five-match series, scalping 14 wickets at a strike rate of 45.00 - one of the best in the series.
