Mahendra Singh Dhoni, one of the greatest cricketers to have graced the cricketing land, revealed the secret of what kept him going throughout his international career.
“When I was playing, I made sure that cricket was a whole for me — nothing else mattered. What time do I sleep? What time did I have to get up? What impact it had on (my) cricket, that was the most important thing,” Dhoni was quoted as saying by TOI in an event in New Delhi.
The 43-year-old, who will be seen playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), further said that he knew he had to sacrifice a lot because not everybody gets to represent the country at the highest level.
“All the friendships, the fun, all those can happen later. There is a right time for everything and if you are able to recognise that, that's the best thing you can do,” he said at the event where an app called ‘Dhoni’, about the cricketer, was launched.
