CSK legend and former skipper MS Dhoni was spotted on live television watching India’s much-anticipated clash against Pakistan on February 23. While not confirmed, it is widely rumoured that Dhoni was there to shoot an advertisement before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Pakistan did not get off to the best start in the clash against India, losing their best batter, Babar Azam, in the first 10 overs. Minutes later, Imam-ul-Haq, too, was dismissed with a gun-like throw from Axar Patel, who was fielding in the mid-off region, as it crushed all of Pakistan’s hopes at 47/2.
However, the partnership between Saud Shakeel (27) and Mohammad Rizwan (19) has grown in stature, as the two have put up 46 runs off 87 balls. But Pakistan's worry is that they are on 94/2 in 24 overs, putting themselves under so much pressure in search of a big score.
Since the 2017 loss in the final, India have defeated Pakistan in five out of the six games, with one of them being rained off.
