Mumbai Indians will be without their swashbuckling wicketkeeper batter Vishnu Vinod, who has been ruled out of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). The Kerala wicketkeeper injured his forearm, which has now ruled him out of the entirety of the competition.
Last year, Vinod played three games for Mumbai, scoring 37 runs, out of which 30 came in one knock against Gujarat Titans, hitting two fours and two sixes. The five-time IPL winners have signed Saurashtra’s wicketkeeper batter Harvik Desai as his replacement.

Desai has been one of the integral members of the Saurashtra setup, with a century across all the three formats of the state. After winning the U-19 World Cup, Desai made his domestic debut in 2018/19, averaging over 30 with a healthy strike rate of 134.17 in T20s.
