Mumbai Indians name Luke Wood as Jason Behrendorff’s replacement in IPL 2024
Behrendorff was a key member of Mumbai Indians side in IPL 2023
The Mumbai Indians are dealt with an injury before their season even began. Australian left-arm pacer Jason Behrendorff has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury (a frequent issue in his career), and the Indians have replaced him with another left-arm pacer, Luke Wood, who’s from England.
Wood has played five T20Is, where he picked eight wickets for England, and two ODIs. He was recently playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for Peshawar Zalmi and will now feature for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024.
Wood is an experienced globe-trotting 28-year-old, as his ability to swing the new ball from a left-arm angle is always in high demand. Wood has already played in the Big Bash League, the Bangladesh Premier League and the Hundred, along with the T20 blast.
