England pacer Chris Jordan, who had gone unsold in the auction, has joined Mumbai Indians as a replacement for the remainder of IPL 2023 but it not yet known who he has replaced. As a matter of fact, Mumbai Indians have grapled with many injuries so far with Jasprit Bumrah unavailable.
Mark Boucher confirmed that Jofra Archer recently undergone a surgery in Belgium but will be back for the Rajasthan Royals match. Jhye Richardson has also been ruled out, but he has already been replaced by Riley Meredith.
This is not going to be Jordan's first outing in the IPL though. The 34-year-old has picked up 27 wickets at an average of 30.85 and an economy of 9.32 in his IPL career and last represented Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2022 where he managed two wickets in four outings.
Recently, Jordan played for champions Gulf Giants at the ILT20 tournament in February, where he finished as the highest wicket-taker in the tournament, picking 20 wickets in 10 innings.
