Mumbai Indians Superstar Slapped With Legal Notice By Pakistan Cricket Board
He was picked by Peshawar Zalmi during the PSL draft in January, but signed with MI earlier this month
In what comes as troubling news for new Mumbai Indians recruit Corbin Bosch, the all-rounder has been served a legal notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for breaching contractual obligations by skipping Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Bosch, 30, was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the PSL draft in January, but signed with MI earlier this month, replacing the injured Lizaad Williams. However, the decision to switch to IPL from PSL has come at a cost for the South African all-rounder.
“The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments,” the PCB said in a release.
“The PCB management has also outlined the repercussions of his departure from the league and expects his response within the stipulated time frame. The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter,” the board further added in the release.
The upcoming season of the PSL will directly clash with the IPL. PSL 2025 will begin on April 11 and end on May 18, meaning the entirety of the tournament will overlap with IPL 2025.
