Mumbai Indians have named South African left-arm quick Beuran Hendricks as a replacement for the injured Alzarri Joseph, who has been ruled out of IPL 2019. Alzarri Joseph who had come in as a replacement for Adam Milne, dislocated his right-arm while fielding against Rajasthan Royals. Joseph had created waves on his IPL debut taking the best-ever figures in the tournament’s history - 6/12 - against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
This will be the second franchise Hendricks will be a part of in the IPL. He had earlier represented KXIP in the 2014 and 2015 editions. Hendricks isn’t a part of the 15-man preliminary South Africa World Cup squad but has featured for them in 2 ODIs and 10 T20Is.
Mumbai who are currently third on the points table, next face Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk on 26th April.
