Naman Dhir doesn’t have a single fifty in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, but the Mumbai Indians (MI) batter has been one of the most impactful players in this year’s competition.
252 runs across 12 innings at an average of 31.5 and a strike rate of 182.6 - Naman Dhir has the fourth-best strike rate in an IPL season for MI.
Even in the Qualifier 2 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Ahmedabad on June 1 (Sunday), the right-hander smashed 37 off 18 deliveries and propelled MI to 203/6 in their 20 overs. Naman Dhir had the best strike rate of MI in the innings.
What’s more, Naman Dhir has the most runs in death overs in the IPL 2025, having managed 190 runs at a stunning strike rate of 195.9.
This year, the 25-year-old has four knocks with a strike rate of more than 200 and five more innings with a strike rate of between 150 and 200.
Against PBKS, Naman Dhir walked out to bat in the 15th over and straightaway took the attack to Arshdeep Singh, hitting him for back-to-back boundaries.
He hit seven boundaries in his 18-ball knock, and it was only because of him MI managed 57 runs in the last five overs.
