Nat Sciver-Brunt Ruled Out Of T20Is vs India As England Announce Replacement

Tammy Beaumont will continue to lead England Women in Sciver-Brunt's absence

England Women captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has been ruled out of the five-match T20I series against India Women. Sciver-Brunt missed the third T20I due to a groin injury, and an England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) release has confirmed that it would take longer for her injury to heal.

As a result, Maia Bouchier has been named as Sciver-Brunt's replacement for the remainder of the series.

Tammy Beaumont, in Sciver-Brunt's absence led her side to a victory in the third T20I. With the five-run win at The Oval, England remain alive in the five-match series, which now stands at 2-1 in favour of the visitors. Sciver-Brunt led England in the first two games, which India won by 97 runs and 24 runs, respectively.

The 32-year-old is expected to be available for selection for the ODI series, which will get underway from July 16 onwards.

As far as the rest of the T20Is go, Beaumont will continue to lead England. They will next be in action in the fourth T20I at Old Trafford on Jul 9, followed by the final match of the series on July 12 at Edgbaston.
