Bangladesh are set to play five T20 Internationals (T20I) against New Zealand at home, the BCB announced on Wednesday (August 4). The Blackcaps will arrive in Dhaka on August 24 and the matches will be played between September 1 and 10 at the Shere Bangla Stadium, Mirpur.
This series is scheduled after England's tour of Bangladesh was pushed back to March 2023. This makes it possible for players from England and Bangladesh to be available for the second half of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which will begin o September 19 in the UAE.
Incidentally, the last T20I series New Zealand played was also against Bangladesh at home, which they won 3-0.
Bangladesh are currently in the middle of a five-match T20I series against Australia at home. They won the first game of the series by 23 runs, which was also their first-ever win over Australia in the format.
