Sri Lanka reached 113/1 at the end of day one of the second Test against West Indies at Galle on Monday after bad light caused by heavy rain delayed the start.
The hosts, who lead the two-match series 1-0, chose to bat after winning the toss, but bad light due to the cloudy weather prevented the first two sessions of the play from happening.
Openers Dimuth Karunaratne (42) and Pathum Nissanka (61 not out) added 106 runs before Roston Chase dismissed Karunaratne with a return catch. Oshada Fernando remained not out on 2 along with Nissanka.
Sri Lanka got first points of their World Test Championship 2021-23 campaign when they won the first Test at the same venue by 187 runs.
