Nitish Kumar Reddy Aims To Do A RCB For Playoffs Push

SRH got their third win of the IPL 2025 in nine games and have kept themselves alive in the tournament

The Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated the Chennai Super Kings in Chepauk on April 25, by five wickets to win their third game of the tournament and keep their playoffs hope alive. SRH now have six points in nine games and are now eighth on the points table, ahead of Rajasthan Royals at nine and CSK at ten.

Speaking to the broadcasters after the game, SRH all-rounder and India international Nitish Kumar Reddy proclaimed that SRH have it in them to repeat what the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) did in IPL 2024, where they won six games on the trot to qualify for the playoffs.

If SRH win all of their remaining five games, they’ll have 16 points overall and would be a strong favourite to end in the top four.

“We thought for the team, and it went pretty well. It is taking it match by match and I’m proud that we won this match and hopefully the coming matches as well,” Reddy said.

“Last year, the same situation RCB came up and won 7 in a row. Why not us this year? It is putting in 100 per cent, and the rest we will see,” the Andhra Pradesh-born all-rounder added.

SRH play their next game against Gujarat Titans on May 2 in Ahmedabad.
