The Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 is bigger and better than the previous season as a lot of star players are participating in it. Some of these bonafide IPL products, however, have been unable to click as the 40-match league stage and 44-match overall season nears its half-way mark.
At the end of match number 17, here are the top three IPL stars who have struggled to get going in DPL 2025.
Nitish Rana made a switch back to his original home of Delhi before the start of the DPL. Having missed the last season, he was appointed captain of the West Delhi Lions DPL 2025, hoping that the IPL star will turn the fortunes of the team around.
However, as it turns out, Nitish himself is out of form, although his team has won two and lost two in the four matches played so far. The 32-year-old has scored 70 runs at an average of 23.3 and has also picked up three wickets.
Ayush Badoni has made a name for himself playing in the IPL and also leading the South Delhi Superstarz to the final in the inaugural edition of the league. He is now the Delhi state captain of the limited overs side as well.
But in DPL 2025, he has not been himself, managing only 75 runs in the first three innings. His team is yet to register a win in the competition.
Playing for New Delhi Tigers, Prince Yadav, who bagged an IPL contract on the basis of a superb showing in the last DPL season, has been ineffective this season. He went wicketless in the first three games and picked up 2/34 in his four overs in the fourth one.
Prince had made his IPL debut for the Lucknow Super Giants in the last season and had picked up Travis Head as his maiden wicket.
