Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who picked up an injury struck on the left foot by Shaheen Shah Afridi's inswinging yorker during Afghanistan's warm-up match against Pakistan in Brisbane, has been cleared of any kind of serious injury and is expected to be fit for the England fixture on Saturday.
After being hit on the foot, Gurbaz had to be stretchered off and after scans, he was seen wearing a protective boot on his left foot.
"Team doctor stated that the results are clear with no bone fracture," the ACB said. "He will be assessed in the next two days and is expected to be available for our England fixture on Saturday."
Gurbaz has been one of the finest players of the Afghanistan side since the last World Cup in UAE, where he couldn't match up to his potential and ended up scoring just 85 runs in five matches.
