He was followed by the likes of Hassan Nawaz, Irfan Khan Niazi, Sahibzada Farhan and Mohammed Abbas in the top five of the list.
This marks a surprising shift in public interest among Pakistani cricket fans, particularly as a number of their domestic stars did not feature in the top-10 list.
The popularity surge for Abhishek Sharma has outstripped that of well-established Pakistani players such as Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, none of whom reportedly made the top-10 in the 2025 search rankings in Pakistan.
