Pakistan players granted NOCs for BBL draft

The PCB had been silent about granting NOCs to the players to feature in foreign T20 leagues

A total of 43 Pakistan players have been granted No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to be named in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2022-23 draft.

The likes of Shadab Khan, Trent Boult, Andre Russell and Jason Roy have been listed as 'Platinum' players in the new draft. Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal and Wahab Riaz are also part of the new BBL draft while star players such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi are not included.

The trio, who have been given all-format central contracts by the PCB, will be part of the home series against England, New Zealand and West Indies from December to February followed by the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

PCB is yet to confirm NOCs for the players to be picked for CSA's T20 League and UAE's ILT20. The PCB allows players to feature in three overseas leagues besides PSL.

The players are believed to be frustrated by the limitations set by the Board as they miss out on big financial gains. Pakistan players are not allowed to play in the IPL which has the highest salary cap among all T20 leagues.
