Let's look at three players to watch out for in the tournament:
David Warner
Having gone unsold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction, David Warner will look to make the best of his stint at the PSL with the Karachi Kings. This will be Warner's first-ever season in the PSL, and he will have other top players like James Vince, Kane Williamson and Litton Das on his side as well.
Overall, Warner has close to 13,000 runs at a strike rate of 140.3 and goes into the tournament after a successful season in the Big Bash League, where he ended as the second-highest run-scorer.
Akeal Hosein
One of the best bowlers in the powerplay, Akeal Hosein, will be a tough candidate to negotiate in the PSL. He had a successful season with the Quetta Gladiators last year, where he picked up 15 wickets, out of which four came in the powerplay.
Hosein has 186 T20 wickets at an economy rate of under seven, further proving how well he chokes the batters.
Colin Munro
With over 11,000 runs in 434 matches, Colin Munro is as destructive as they come. The southpaw is among the top 10 run-getters in the tournament's history, with 1,417 runs at a strike rate of 151.
In fact, he was the leading run-getter for Islamabad United last season, helping them claim their third PSL title.
