Pakistan to tour Netherlands for three ODIs in August

All the three ODIs will be played in Rotterdam from August 16-21

Pakistan will tour the Netherlands for three ODIs, set to played from August 16-21 at Rotterdam, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Wednesday.

The tour was originally scheduled for July 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic.

"We are pleased that with the support of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB), we have been able to reschedule the series, which is important to the growth and development of cricket in Netherlands as well as to the two teams' chances of progressing directly to the 2023 World Cup," Zakir Khan, PCB's Director of International Cricket, said.

"Our men's national cricket team had an excellent 2021-22 season and I am confident they will build on the momentum to entertain expat Pakistanis and the Dutch spectators with good cricket. This series will also help KNCB attract new and young audiences towards the game."

The ICC Men's World Cup Super League will be present the top eight teams a direct qualification spot for the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. Pakistan are currently ninth in the table with six wins and six losses, while the Dutch are bottom of the 13-team table with two wins from 12 matches.

The matches on August 16, 18 and 21 will be played at the VOC Cricket Ground in Rotterdam.
