Punjab Kings’ breakthrough star Priyansh Arya continued his indifferent form, scoring 8 off 12 balls against North Delhi Strikers, on August 6 (Wednesday) in the ongoing edition of Delhi Premier League.
Chasing 164, all eyes were on Arya to give the Outer Delhi Warriors a good start, with the newly formed team finding themselves in third on the points table. However, the PBKS star failed to give them the required start, with an underpar innings, scoring just the one boundary before getting out to Kuldip Yadav.
Before the start of the season, there were a lot of hopes on Arya to continue his stellar form from last season. But it has been anything but that, as the left-hander has had a mixed bag kind of season.
In the opener, the left-hander scored 26 off 15 against the New Delhi Tigers. Immediately after that, though, Arya could only score 16 off 19 against Purani Delhi 6. It was a second failure in a row for the youngster.
Arya had a stellar IPL 2025 season, where he was PBKS’ main star, scoring 475 runs, including a sizzling 103 against five-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings.
