Yashasvi Jaiswal had a record-breaking season in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL), and he forced his way into the Indian T20I side on the back of a crazy campaign that saw him score 625 runs at a strike rate of 163.6.
However, IPL 2024 turned out to be a disappointing campaign for Jaiswal, who scored 435 runs but at an average of 31.07 and a strike rate of 155.9. It was an okayish campaign, not a great one, and he lost his place in the T20I side on the back of a middling season.
IPL 2025 did not begin well for Jaiswal, with scores of 1, 29 and 4, but he finally got some runs under his belt in the clash against Punjab Kings today, scoring his first IPL fifty in 9 innings. Jaiswal posted 67 off 45 balls, hitting as many as five sixes.
However, for the first 80% of the innings, Jaiswal was super scratchy. So much so that he took 40 balls to get to his fifty, making it the slowest fifty of his IPL career.

After getting to 50 off 40 balls, Jaiswal took off, amassing 17 runs off his next 4 balls. However, trying to up the ante further, he got cleaned up by Lockie Ferguson.
