PCB plan to resume PSL on June 7 with final on June 24 in Abu Dhabi

NCEMA to decide on Wednesday afternoon if they will grant exemptions to 16 production crew to work in Abu Dhabi from 5 June to make 7 June start possible

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had announced the league to begin on June 1 but the further logistical challenges and the difficulties in procuring required permissions resulted in the board further postponing the event to a later date. According to the latest release, the PCB and the franchise owners met in an online session this afternoon to discuss the progress made in the staging of the remaining 20 PSL matches. During the session, the PCB also provided a number of updates.

According to the latest plan, the Pakistan men’s team will now depart for England on 25 June instead of 23 June with the final slated for June 24 instead of June 20 as planned earlier. The board is also planning to resume the tournament on June 7 to ensure no more than three double-headers being played in the remainder of the tournament.

Franchises updated on the 16 production company crew, who are now isolating in Dubai after being allowed entry in Abu Dhabi last week with NCEMA to decide on Wednesday afternoon if they will grant exemptions to 16 production crew to work in Abu Dhabi from 5 June to make 7 June start possible.
