Police recover Delhi Capitals’ lost bats and equipment; few still missing

Among the lost items, three of the lost bats belonged to David Warner, two to Mitchell Marsh, three to Phil Salt, and five to Yash Dhull

In an unfortunate incident, a few Delhi Capitals players complained of missing bats and equipment from their kits while transiting to Delhi from Bengaluru, where they played RCB on April 15. However, David Warner, in his Instagram story, reported that the police have recovered some of the equipment, even though a few are still missing.

Among the lost items, three of the lost bats belonged to David Warner, two to Mitchell Marsh, three to Phil Salt, and five to Yash Dhull. The players only were aware of the missing items when their kits were delivered to the team hotel by the logistics company that handles the management of their kits.

The recovery of the stolen items has come as a great solace for the players right after they secured their first win of the season by beating Kolkata Knight Riders at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on April 20. Previously, Delhi had lost all five games and now currently placed at the bottom place on the points table.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals management had already requested the respective bat companies of their players to send a few extra bats for their players but with the police finding their bats, the likes of Warner, Marsh, Salt and Dhull will have a sigh of relief.
