NEWSKarnataka pacer Prasidh Krishna, who has been named as a stand-by for India's tour of England, has recovered from Covid-19 and will depart for Mumbai from Bengaluru on May 23.
"He has recovered from Covid-19, is in Bengaluru at the moment at his home and will be leaving for Mumbai on May 23," a source aware of the development told IANS.
Krishna was one of four Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players to test positive during the IPL that was suspended due to multiple positive cases inside its bio-bubble.
The pace bowler is supposed to travel to England as one of the four standby cricketers along with fellow pacers Avesh Khan and Arzan Nagwaswalla, and batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran.
Varun Chakravarthy, Sandeep Warrier and Tim Seifert, who were the other KKR players to test positive, have also recovered.
The India men and women's teams are expected to leave for England from Mumbai on June 2 in a charter flight.
