The second edition of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) begins on August 2 (Saturday), and there will be eyes on how the IPL stars are performing in the competition. Rishabh Pant’s participation in the league is highly doubtful after the left-handed batter suffered a foot fracture during the fourth Test at Old Trafford.
But apart from him, who are the big names who will be playing in the league?
Chennai Super Kings
CSK have just one representative who will be playing DPL - Vansh Bedi (Purani Dilli 6).
Gujarat Titans
Gujarat Titans have two players who will be part of DPL 2025, and that’s Anuj Rawat (East Delhi Riders) and Ishant Sharma (West Delhi Lions).
Kolkata Knight Riders
Harshit Rana (North Delhi Strikers) will be KKR’s representative at the upcoming DPL.
Lucknow Super Giants
Lucknow Super Giants have the most representatives who will be part of DPL, with as many as five players. They are Himmat Singh (New Delhi Tigers), Ayush Badoni (South Delhi Superstarz), Rishabh Pant (Purani Delhi 6), Prince Yadav (New Delhi Tigers), and Digvesh Rathi (South Delhi Superstarz).
Punjab Kings
Priyansh Arya (Outer Delhi Warriors), the breakthrough star from the inaugural edition of DPL, will be the only and biggest player from Punjab Kings. The left-hander smashed 608 runs in the first season, including hitting six sixes in a single over during his 50-ball 120, where he struck ten sixes.
Rajasthan Royals
Nitish Rana (West Delhi Lions) will be the only Royals player in this year’s DPL.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Suyash Sharma (Outer Delhi Warriors) will be RCB’s only player at this year’s DPL, as all eyes will be on the leg-spinner, as he grows from strength to strength.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad fans will watch Simarjeet Singh, who will be playing for Central Delhi Kings. Last season, in IPL 2025, the Delhi pacer was disappointing, with two wickets in the entire season, averaging 70.50.
