Priyansh Arya created history as he smashed the fastest century by an uncapped player in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, reaching the milestone in only 39 balls against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 8 (Tuesday) at the Maharaja Yadvinder Singh Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
This was also the second-fastest century by an Indian, only behind Yusuf Pathan’s 37-ball ton that he hit in 2010.

Arya, who was out for a duck in his last innings against the Rajasthan Royals, started this innings with a first-ball six against Khaleel Ahmed. He was dropped by the bowler on the very next ball in a caught and bowled attempt.
The 24-year-old then utilised the chance and scored a 19-ball fifty. Arya was given another life when Mukesh Choudahary caught him, but landed on the boundary ropes with the ball in his hand. Arya was batting on 73 back then.
In the very next over, bowled by Matheesha Pathirana, Arya hit three sixes in a row and then got an edge past the short third-man to reach his milestone.
Arya was eventually caught by Vijay Shankar on the boundary ropes on 103, off the bowling of Noor Ahmad.
