Pujara smashed 24 boundaries in his 203 as Sussex put up 538 in their first innings
Cheteshwar Pujara's sensational run in the County Championship continued as the Indian batter scored his second double ton of the season to put Sussex in control of their County Championship match against Durham.
Replying to Durham's 223 all out, Pujara scored 203 off 334 balls and scored 24 boundaries in his stay lasting 455 minutes to propel Sussex to 538 all out in their first innings.
Beginning Day three at 128 not out, Pujara added 154 runs for the sixth wicket alongside Pakistan keeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan (79) and returned as the eighth wicket. Sussex took a lead of 315 runs in the first innings.
In his first match, Pujara rescued Sussex from a defeat against Derbyshire with an unbeaten 201 in the second innings. He followed it up with a 109 in the first innings of the second match against Worcestershire, but was unable to prevent an innings defeat.
In their second innings, Durham openers Sean Dickson (110 not out) and Alex Lees (50 not out) put up 169 on the board to end Day three in a good position.
