Rahul Dravid's son Anvay slams unbeaten century in Vijay Merchant Trophy

Anvay Dravid eventually finished on 110* off 234 deliveries

Anvay Dravid, son of legendary Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid, slammed a match-saving century for Karnataka in the Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy quarter-final. His unbeaten 110 off 234 deliveries came against Punjab in Ahmedabad, off 234 deliveries, with 12 fours punctuating his innings. He got to his fifty of 124 deliveries and his ton off 198.

Dravid came in at four and first put on 40 off 115 with Dhruv Krishnan (73), but it was his 95-run stand with Dhyaan Hiremath (33) that helped Karnataka inch closer to a draw.

In the end, Karnataka managed to score 280/7 in 117 overs in response to Punjab's 742/9, which included 230 from opening batter Gursimran Singh.

Karnataka finished top of Elite Group D, while Punjab were the toppers in Elite Group C. Punjab progressed to the semi-final of the tournament as they secured a first-innings lead in their tie against Karnataka.
