Raining Resignations At RR Ahead Of IPL 2026: Long-Time CEO Part Ways After Dravid

This came just after Rahul Dravid, the head coach of the side, parted ways with it after only one year in the office

Something seems to be changing in the Rajasthan Royals set up as their Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jake Lush McCrum, has resigned from his position that he held on to since 2021.

“McCrum, who has served the Royals in various capacities – starting in a junior role, then moving into the team's operations wing before being elevated to CEO in 2021 at the young age of just 28,” Cricbuzz wrote in a report.

“He is currently believed to be transitioning out of his role and is expected to be relieved in October,” the report added.

McCrum’s departure was made more evident after he was not seen at the Paarl Royals’ auction table during the SA20 auctions held on September 9 (Tuesday).

This comes just after Rahul Dravid, the head coach of the side, parted ways with it just after one year in the office. As per the franchise, he was offered a broader role which he rejected.

Not only Dravid, after the team’s ninth finish in IPL 2025, its head of marketing, Dwijendra Parashar had also left the Jaipur-based side.

The rumours of RR skipper Sanju Samson leaving the franchise and becoming a free agent ahead of the IPL 2026 auctions are also rife. This could mark a total overhaul of the pink brigade, who have not won the silverware since the inaugural season in 2008.
