Rajasthan Royals promote COO Jake Lush McCrum to CEO role

McCrum has been associated with Rajasthan Royals since 2018

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals have promoted their Chief Operating Officer Jake Lush McCrum to the role of Chief Executive Officer effective from July 1. Ranjit Barthakur will continue as the Chairperson of Royal Multisport Pvt Ltd, Jake will take a more active role in the management and will be helped by Barthakur to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.

On the other hand, Mike Fordham, CEO of the Royals Sports Group, will be focusing more on the global expansion of the Royals. It must be noted that Royals Sports Group (EM Sporting Holdings Ltd) is the primary holding company of the Royals franchise and will look to invest in cricket properties and other sports ventures to become one of the leading entities in the world of sport.

McCrum has been associated with Rajasthan Royals since 2018 and has been one of the central figures in the franchise's growth and participation in the IPL. He will be now overseeing the entire cricket process of the franchise, very akin to what Venky Mysore has achieved at Kolkata Knight Riders.
