Afghanistan's ace legspinner Rashid Khan will replace Sri Lankan leggie Wanindu Hasaranga in the defending champions St Kitts & Nevis Patriots squad in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League.
Having played for Guyana Amazon Warriors and Barbados Royals (then Tridents) in the past, this is the third CPL franchise Rashid will play for.
The 23-year-old, who missed the last season owing to national commitments, has scalped 25 wickets in 22 innings in this tournament. He has an economy of just 6.3 and also has a CPL hat-trick to his name.

Hasaranga, who is currently with the Sri Lankan side playing in the Asia Cup final, will miss the entire CPL 2022. Meanwhile, Maheesh Theekshana, who has been picked up by Trinbago Knight Riders, is still waiting for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Sri Lanka Cricket.
The Patriots have only won one of their five encounters so far and Rashid's presence could turn their campaign around. In Asia Cup 2022, Rashid picked up six wickets in five games at an economy of just 6.55.
