Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) Ravi Bishnoi couldn’t hide his excitement after smashing Mumbai Indians (MI)’s ace paceman Jasprit Bumrah for a six in Match 45 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Wankhede Stadium on April 27 (Sunday).
Bumrah had already taken four wickets and LSG were eight down before he came to bowl his fourth over, with Prince Yadav and Bishnoi out in the middle.
It was the final delivery of Bumrah’s spell, and Bishnoi managed to tonk it over long-on for a maximum. The leg-spinner then looked at Bumrah and pumped his fists, even making the paceman smile.
The fate of the match was already decided by then, but that didn’t stop Bishnoi from enjoying his second six of the night. He had already smoked a maximum off Corbin Bosch earlier in the innings.
Guess what, before this game, Bishnoi had never hit a six in the IPL. The right-hander scored 13 off 14 deliveries against MI before getting knocked over by Bosch. This is also his highest IPL score.
