Ravindra Jadeja has broken Harbhajan Singh's record to register the third most international wickets for India at home in international cricket. He achieved this feat with the wicket of West Indies opener John Campbell on Day 4 of the second Test in Delhi on October 13 (Monday).
Jadeja now has 377 wickets, with only Ravichandran Ashwin (475) and Anil Kumble (476) ahead of him. Out of those, 246 wickets have come in Tests at home for the all-rounder, who is overall the fifth-highest wicket-taker for India in the format.
476 - Anil Kumble
475 - Ravichandran Ashwin
377* - Ravindra Jadeja
376 - Harbhajan Singh
He has an excellent record against the West Indies as well, having picked up 31 wickets at 21.58 in nine Tests against them.
The 36-year-old has been in excellent form leading into this Test. He slammed an unbeaten 104 in the first Test against the West Indies in Ahmedabad and also chipped in with four wickets in the game. He also had an outstanding tour of England with both bat and ball, hitting five fifties and a century to go with his seven scalps.
India lead the two-match series 1-0, following their innings victory in Ahmedabad. They were on course for another massive win, but centuries from Campbell (115) and Shai Hope (103) have ensured India will bat again in this match after the visitors have wiped off the deficit after being asked to follow on.
