RCB, KKR, PBKS interested in making Iyer their next captain

Royal Challengers Bangalore are interested in making Shreyas Iyer their next captain ahead of the next edition of the Indian Premier League, the Times of India reported on Monday (January 17). 

Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings are the other two franchises that might bid for the right-handed batter from Mumbai.

"Post Virat Kohli quitting the RCB captaincy, RCB are really interested in having Iyer as their next captain. Expect them to bid aggressively for the Mumbaikar in next month’s auction in Bangalore,” the source told TOI.

"The Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings are also expected to eye him in the auction."

Iyer left Delhi Capitals after the franchise made Rishabh Pant their skipper. On top of that, the publication also reported that Iyer won’t join Lucknow or Ahmedabad as both new franchises aren’t offering him the captaincy.
