RCB rope in Scott Kuggeleijn as replacement for Kane Richardson

The pacer represented New Zealand in the T20Is against Pakistan three months ago

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have brought in New Zealand pacer Scott Kuggeleijn, who was already a part of the Mumbai Indians bio-bubble as a reserve player, on board as Kane Richardson's replacement. Earlier, Kane Richardson and Adam Zampa parted ways with RCB after having decided to move back to Australia following rising Covid-19 cases in India. However, RCB haven't announced any replacement for Zampa who had joined late after his marriage.

Kuggeleijn had earlier played for Chennai Super Kings in 2019 after having been signed as Lungi Ngidi's replacement. He played a couple of games for them but CSK released him from the squad ahead of the next auction.

Recently, the pacer represented New Zealand in the T20Is against Pakistan three months ago and is considered as a fine player in the shortest version of the game.
