Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) set another impressive record, as their title-clinching clash against Punjab Kings had over 31.7 billion minutes of watch time, the most in a T20 match ever. Just on television, the match was viewed by 169 million people, with 892 million video views coming from digital platforms.
“The incredible viewership numbers show us how much fans love the IPL,” JioStar’s CEO, Sanjog Gupta, said.
“This season, we focused on offering something for everyone — from new viewers watching casually, to hardcore fans who don’t miss a ball. Our aim was to make the experience more personalised, interactive and inclusive for all.”
According to JioStar, IPL 2025 saw a record watch time across both television and digital platforms, with over a billion people tuning in to watch the action. It was a sharp 29% rise in digital viewing compared to last year, and 456 billion minutes of live coverage, the highest for any T20 tournament.
IPL’s opening weekend saw 49.5 billion minutes of viewing, a new record for any IPL opening weekend.
