It was Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)’s Romario Shepherd’s day out in the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025. The star all-rounder lit up the league with his brilliant showing with both bat and ball, leading his side, the San Francisco Unicorns (SFU), to a 32-run victory over the Seattle Orcas on June 25 (Thursday) at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas.
Shepherd, who came out to bat at number six, smashed 56 off just 31 balls, smashing four fours and an equal number of sixes and tearing apart the opposition. Thanks to his knock, who was also the highest scorer for the Unicorns batter on the day, the team reached 176/8.
As if that was not enough, the big Guyanese also showed his bowling skills, going for just 16 runs in the three overs that he bowled and picking up opener Shayan Jahangir and all-rounder Harmeet Singh to bowl the opposition out for 144.
Courtesy of this win, the Unicorns remain unbeaten in the league so far, winning all six of their matches in the league so far.
