RCB to don green jersey against CSK

This is part of the ‘Go Green’ initiative to spread awareness about keeping the planet clean and green

In their next match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will don the green jersey as part of their ‘Go Green’ initiative at the Dubai International Stadium. All players and staff from the RCB contingent will be sporting the green jersey on Sunday (25th October 2020) in a bid to spread the awareness too keep the plant clean and green.

"On 25th of October we will play against CSK in our green jerseys," said AB de Villiers in a video posted on RCB Twitter.

"Turn off the lights and taps when not in use. We must ensure waste management and reduce the use of plastic. We should pick up plastic bottles wherever we go. All of these small little things if a person plays along can really go a long way to help our environment," de Villiers added

While RCB have been in spectacular form this season, having won seven out of their 10 matches, CSK find themselves at the bottom of the table, with just three wins in 11 matches. A win over CSK will take RCB closer to securing a place in the playoffs. For CSK, on the other hand, they have nothing but pride to play for in this match as their chances of making it to the playoffs is more or less over.

Earlier in the tournament, RCB had beaten CSK by 37 runs in Dubai.
