Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ended an 18-year-long wait for an Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy as they defeated Punjab Kings by six runs in the final of IPL 2025. Celebrations began all across the country, and RCB’s massive fan base stepped out to express their cathartic jubilation on the streets well past midnight.
However, the loudest and wildest of celebrations were seen in Bengaluru, where the entire night sky was lit up with fireworks. The RCB team will now also be travelling to their home city to celebrate the trophy win with their loyal fan base, who have stuck with the side for so long.
For that, a victory parade has been organised, which will begin from the iconic Vidhana Soudha and will reach the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, where further celebrations will happen.
RCB had put out a tweet from their official handle saying that the parade will begin at 3:30 PM from the aforementioned location, however as per latest reports in The Times of India, the RCB team will first meet Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivkumar at the Vidhana Soudha at 4:00 PM after landing at the HAL Airport in Bengaluru around 1:30 PM from Ahmedabad.
The parade is planned to begin from 5:00 PM onwards and will then travel 3.1 kilometres to reach the RCB home ground. The two iconic landmarks are only a 15-minute walk apart, however, the roads are expected to be choked with fans, just like it was during Team India’s victory parade on the Marine Drive in Mumbai after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Star player Virat Kohli had already expressed his high anticipation for the festivities in Bengaluru and looked eager to celebrate with the local fans after winning the trophy. The parade will be live-streamed by Jio Hotstar and televised by Star Sports Network.
