Romario Shepherd continued to graze runs at the Indian Premier League (IPL), smashing a 14-ball half-century against Chennai Super Kings, on May 3 (Saturday), the joint-second-fastest fifty in the tournament's history. The right-hander was at his absolute best against Khaleel Ahmed, smashing 33 runs off the 19th over, as the left-arm pacer conceded 65 runs in his three overs.
Shepherd took off against the left-arm pacer, hitting six, six, four, six, no-ball six, dot and a four to take RCB from 159/5 to 192/5, as the 2016 IPL runners-up raced away. The West Indian all-rounder then even took on an in-form Matheesha Pathirana, smashing 21 runs in the final over, taking RCB to 213/5.
